The BDP-120 player comes equipped a 1GB stick for external storage to allow you to take advantage of the BD live feature. This is via a USB terminal and allows storage to be added as required. Besides the high definition audio and video Blu-ray has to offer, the BD live feature of some discs brings even more information to your screen. Once connected to the internet the disc can access extra pictures, information, video etc related to the film and supplied by the studios. Whilst playing the disc the BDP-120 passes x.v. Colour and 36-bit Deep Colour information to compatible monitors and HD audio bitstream to your AV receiver. Alternatively decode the HD audio internally and stream up to 7.1 PCM. If non HD material is played then the internal scaler converts it to HD resolutions if you would like, supplying up to 1080p. If you connect to a compatible Pioneer AV receiver via HDMI then you can take advantage of the PQLS system for 2 channel material. This system all but eliminates 'jitter' in the timing signals used for decoding and produces extraordinary audio results.
